Clinique Aglow Blush : Best Alternative to NARS Orgasm

We all know that NARS Orgasm Blush is now a household name and the Queen of all Blushes. It's a peachy-pink blush with a warm, gold shimmer that gives a nice post-workout flush to any skin tone. I've been using NARS Orgasm for a few years, but I recently I've been looking for a lighter alternative. I wanted something really subtle, but still gave me that youthful glow. My search ended when I discovered...

Clinique's Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Aglow... I am obsessed with this blush!!!! It is a peachy nude with a subtle golden, pearlescent sheen. It gives me a fantastic natural glow that doesn't look to "make-upy." You can layer this over other blushes, and you can put several layers of Aglow on with it looking overdone. I use this for everyday wear, and I typically do two to three light passes on the apples of my cheeks. It is perfect for the "no make-up" look I've been sporting lately. I use the little blush brush included to swipe onto the crease in my eyelids and finish with a coat of Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara in Blackened Brown.

It also looks especially good when I do heavy, party eye make-up. I only put on one light layer of Aglow when I do a smokey eye. You never want to wear a bright blush with a smokey eye because you'll look like a clown. Try to always focus on accentuating one feature. I love how Aglow gives me color without drawing attention away from my eye make-up. It gives it a perfect, glowy finish.

Best Moisturizer... Ever.

WHY HAVE I NEVER TRIED THIS CLASSIC???

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

*And the heavenly angels sing*

It's the original Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.. but BETTER. It's oil-free and absolutely perfect on combination skin. They're not kidding when they call it a "drink" for your skin. When I was shopping at Nordstrom yesterday, I was debating between the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and Kiehl's Blue Herbal Moisturizer (shown below). I liked the fact that the Kiehl's has a small dose of salicylic acid for my breakouts, but my skin immediately felt tight and dry. Most acne moisturizers that I encounter have this flaw.

The last moisturizer that I used was the University Medical Acne Free Green Tea Moisturizer. It was actually really great, especially for the price. I liked it because you can put a lot on without overdoing it, but it still didn't feel like it moisturized my skin enough. It was light and airy, but my skin still felt like it needed more.

What Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel had over every moisturizer I've tried:

1) You only need 2-3 pumps to cover your entire face and neck
2) It sinks into your skin immediately... like butter...
3) My skin did not look greasy at all right after I put it on
4) My skin felt like velvet
5) It had great oil-control into the next morning
6) I can smile without my skin feeling stretched and tight

Revlon Grow Luscious = Fabulous!

Ladies, I want to introduce you to my new favorite every day mascara.

Revlon Grow Luscious

Bought it in Blackened Brown and I've been using it everyday! I don't know if I'm just delusional, but my lashes honestly look longer and feel stronger!!!

I noticed:
1. No clumping whatsoever
2. Less lash loss when washing off my make-up
3. You can layer several coats without looking like a circus freak (NO CLUMPS)!
4. My lashes look more full and long

Here's me with three coats on:

Hope you guys like it too! xoxo

Colored Contacts on Asians.

Hey Ladies,

So I finally buckled and got myself colored contacts. I know... I've joined the huge club of Asian girls that rock the light colored eyes, but... they're freakin' cool! To match my fake bake and Japanese brown color hair (the shade of reddish brown that ALL Asian girls end up with when they try to dye their black hair to light brown), I decided to go with FreshLook Colorblends in Gemstone Green and Honey. I really wanted the Amethyst, but I think it'd look better during winter when my skin is paler and whenever I dye my hair back to black.

1) Gemstone Green

2) Honey

Not tooooo crazy looking, am I right? I was really happy with the colors! I felt these looked the most "natural" and they also complimented my skin tone. The colors really show up great in pictures without looking frightening. They are awesome for going out. Looooove it!

The only downsides are:
1) they dry the shit out of your eyes after a few hours
2) for Asian girls that have narrow eyes, it can be hell to get those contacts to fit your eyeballs

My advice:
1) Keep eye drops in your purse
2) If you have olive or golden yellow skin tone - go for the greens or honeys
3) If you have a cooler complexion with darker hair - go for the purples
4) If you have a cooler complexion with light hair - go for blues and greens

Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope it's helpful!
