The cheapest place you can get it is off Amazon for only 12 bucks a pop. Benefits include:

-Anti-aging properties

Edgy Green Spring Manicure

I saw VH with this manicure, and I fell in love. How hot is that?!? 1) I'm STOKED Zach Snyder's Suckerpunch is coming out next month and 2) I just bought American Apparel's Nail Lacquer in Office, and I could rock this mani out ASAP! Try different variations- I did gold on my index finger on my left hand and my ring finger on my right. Try doing the same on your toes - totally cute and your fingers can have a mate down below ; D

So, I used American Apparel's Nail Lacquer in Office for my fingers and on my "odd man out" fingers I used OPI in Glitzerland with a F21 Clear/Gold Polish on top. Finish with OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat.

Here are some other great green mint options! May you and your fingers enjoy xoxo

Spring Lookbook

The feminine dress - a classic look for spring. I compiled a few of my favorite looks here for inspiration. I'll add more when I start shopping for more spring clothes!! Add a great belt, a lightweight leather jacket, or a vest to turn a feminine dress into a bad ass look. Most of those dresses were from F21 and under $20!! Great style does not equate to an expensive price tag, my ladies.

.....And I bought these fabulous Dolce Vita rope wedges for only $30 at Target today and they will go great with any spring dress!!!

Some of my Favorite Cooking Creations

I don't know about you guys, but I am all about the quick and easy meal. Here are my two favorite recipes that are so easy and so DELISH! Now go eat and be merry <3

My Easy Chicken Noodle Soup w/ Extra Love

1 Rotisserie Chicken (cut into small pieces)
4 Celery Stalks (chopped)
1/2 Bag of baby carrots (chopped)
1/2 Yellow Onion (Chopped)
1 Carton of Chicken Stock (Costco's Kirkland brand is da bomb!!)
5 Mushrooms (diced or sliced)
Pre Cooked Noodles of your choice
Handful of fresh flat Italian parsley
A teaspoon of minced garlic
  1. Heat some olive oil in a big pot
  2. Toss in the celery, carrots, garlic, mushrooms, and onions in and cook until softened (toss carrots in first and cook for a minute or two before other veggies)
  3. Throw in the carton of chicken stock and bring to a boil
  4. Let simmer for a few minutes
  5. Throw in your chicken and noodles a minute before you are ready to eat
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley (I add a quick crack of black pepper too)
** Note** Soup is extra tasty when served on cute dishes. This also helps you recover from a cold faster ;-D

Ham, Pea, Mushroom Alfredo w/ Spinach Pasta

1/2 Package of Oscar Mayer baked cooked ham lunch meat (cheap and delicious) cut into strips
1/2 Package of mushrooms (any will do)
Handful of Frozen Peas
Alfredo Sauce (here I just used a powdered kind with some 1% milk)
Organic Spinach Pasta (cook this before hand)
Baguette
Teaspoon of Garlic!!! (I LOVE GARLIC)
Parmesan Cheese

  1. Heat teaspoon of olive oil, a bit of butter, and a teaspoon of garlic in a large pan
  2. Throw in ham and cook for about a minute
  3. Toss in mushrooms and stir around
  4. Start mixing/heating your Alfredo sauce in a separate pot
  5. Throw your frozen peas into the pan and turn off heat when they turn bright green
  6. Add your precooked noodles
  7. Pour Alfredo Sauce all over mixture
  8. Add salt/pepper to taste
  9. Grate Parmesan all over and voila!
Hope you guys enjoy

The Adventures of the Missing Lashline

Alright ladies.

Something happened over Christmas break that is literally every girl's nightmare....
Sit back and relax as I take you through this tragic story....

Time: December 21, 2010 at approximately 10:00 am
Scene of the crime: Bedroom (with terrible lighting)
Murder Weapon: A shoddy six yr old Shu Uemura eyelash curler
Victim: Miss Louie
Event: Twas' the fourth day before Christmas. I was getting ready for an exciting day of Christmas shopping. My elbows were ready for shoving, and my fingers were ready for snatching. It was truly magical- the air was filled with Christmas joy and unbeknownst to me, my day was filled with shitty luck. After squeezing into my new Gilly Hicks jeggings, I hurried and threw some foundation and creme blush on. As I'm about to rush out of my bedroom door, I decide last minute that I should throw some mascara on (as not to scare the fellow Xmas shoppers with my sleepless, puffy eyes). I reach for my Shu "Old Faithful" Uemura eyelash curler, and as I go down for the crunch, I suddenly feel a gentle rainfall of delicate hair fall upon my cheekbones. Some of the fallen soldiers had tumbled into my mouth... and I chewed them while sobbing (lol jk, gross). I slowly opened my eye only to be confronted by the unthinkable.... HALF OF MY LASH LINE.... GONE... IN AN INSTANT. The rubber piece of my curler had been missing, and my curler decided to take my lashes as replacement... a sacrifice to the beauty gods. My stomach fell into my butt. Nausea overcame me as I tried to slap myself hard enough to wake me up from this nightmare. It cut right at the root.... and it left me with a half barren lash line.

Exhibit A: Forgive me. I know this is frightening in more ways than one, but this is all I have of that day.

QuickFix: I headed directly to the salon and got eyelash extensions. DO NOT DO THEM! They are a monster to take care of, you can't wear make-up, and when they fall out... they hurt so bad! Looked good for the first two days, but not worth it. Though, it was hilarious trying to see the old Chinese lady try to glue little black hairs onto a bald surface.

Exhibit B: Eyelash extensions - Half lash line

Salvation: Rapidlash. I ended up settling on this brand after buying Peter Thomas Roth then quickly returning it after my senses came back to me and realized I didn't want to dish out $150 on hair growth serum. I got Rapidlash for only 25 buck on Amazon.com, and seriously.... it's a miracle in a bottle. It's such a steal and it really works!!!! I SWEAR BY THIS!

Exhibit C: Two and a half weeks of use (both eyes, no makeup)

My lashes were darker, lusher, longer, and stronger! I was ecstatic!! My cousins had been teasing me for weeks. I was so relieved that Santa granted me my wish and my little babies returned to their rightful place. Even if you didn't weed whack your eyeball, this stuff is amazing for any lash line.

over and out,

Miss Louie
